MY STORY

There's a Lot Riding on This

On August 3rd and 4th I will participate for the twelfth time in the 34th Pan-Massachusetts Challenge (PMC) by raising a minimum $4,300 and cycling 192 miles on the Sturbridge to Provincetown route. Donations to my PMC ride will help cancer patients by supporting life-saving cancer research and treatment at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) in Boston, Massachusetts.

Why do I ride? There are far too many reasons most importantly in memory of my dad Dad, who died of pancreatic cancer 26 years ago this coming August, for Terry Webb; Liz Boyd, Brad Liska and Logan Dunne, who lost their battles to cancer.  Also for our honorary Cape Cod Sea Camps team captains, Schuyler O'Brien,  Isabella, Bennett, Kevin Fitzgerald and Jack

If you would like to dedicate your contribution to someone dear, please send me their name. I will add the name(s) to the over 64 names from previous rides that I wear on my jersey in hopes that the power of this effort will bring comfort to those special people. I will also continue to update my blog during the year with pictures, video and information so please visit me at www.mikespmc.com.

I encourage you to please visit the PMC website also. There are wonderful video clips and information for those of you who live far away and have never seen this amazing event in person. Somewhere along this journey lies a cure for cancer. You can help me find it

Thank you for helping to increase hope - We still have work to do and everything we do is for all of the right reasons!
